April 29, 2021 Drive back to OKC

Texas and Oklahoma

We targeted a nice coffee shop in Uvalde to get some breakfast and specialty caffeinated beverages. This was, by far, the best coffee I had the whole trip, and it really put me in a good mood (woke me up). I was set for the drive north!

There was not much to go chase today, and we had to get closer to Oklahoma City, so we drove north. The weather wasn't really interesting for chasing-- just a steady light rain most of the way through Texas. We crossed underneath the LoneStar transmission line owned by my main employer (NextEra Energy), which was the subject of my work for most of 2021. We were able to stop for some nice BBQ food not far from Wichita Falls. After dinner, we drove back to Oklahoma City.
