Texas

We did some touring today. The forecast was for quiet weather. In fact, the weather would be quiet for four days for us. After leaving our hotel, we drove back to the final tornado from the previous day and looked around a bit. There were people out doing repairs on the house that got hit. Fortunately, it didn't look like there was significant structural damage, but there was a lot of siding gone.

We continued west through Turkey and planned to drive by Palo Duro Canyon. On the way, we looked at a couple old, abandoned farmsteads. In Turkey, we had lunch at the local, vintage hotel. Given our lack of time constraints, we looked into staying there for the night, but they were booked. They had rooms the next night, so we decided to come back then. We had time to spend another day or two in the Panhandle area.
