Northeastern Colorado

SHAUN.JPG Badlands National Park

We were not in a particular hurry this day.  I guess we weren't expecting anything wonderful.  We drove south through the Badlands National Park, through Rosebud Indian Reservation, then through Nebraska's sand hills into northeastern Colorado.  Some storms developed in central Nebraska well east of our target area.  We blew them off, but they kept staring at us and backbuilding.  Eventually, the produced a couple tornadoes.

The storms we intercepted in eastern Colorado were rather lame.  We did get a nice rainbow for a little while.
