June 14, 2025 Auroras

Chippewa National Forest, MN

The smoke cleared away for a few days, so I was able to capture an aurora on the evening of June 13 and the overnight hours into June 14. I drove up to a boat landing on Little Long Lake north of town, setting up just as soon as it was dark enough to see the auroras. It was a Friday the 13th, so I hoped I would get lucky. Solar wind conditions looked good, and since it was a Friday night, I could sleep in the next day. Here are some of my shots.
