Mount Itasca

A high speed stream of solar wind was blowing past Earth, and Bz was a few nT south. The moon was full, but the solar wind was pretty active and made it look like a brightening of the auroras was possible, so when I drove out to Mount Itasca to make snow, I brought my camera along.

Sure enough, the auroras brightened when I came by the chalet. I stopped and grabbed my camera out of my car and set up a tripod as quickly as I could.

Nice Auroras
The auroras brighten under a full moon.
