March 9, 2023 Auroras
Kuusamo, Finland
I snapped this picture on the first night of eight nights in Finnish Lapland, where I was on a Border to Border Ski tour from near the Russian border to the Swedish border. We had cloudy skies every night, for the most part, so when the auroras were out, we did not see them. The first night had only thin clouds, and Bz was slightly south, so I could barely make out some auroras filtered by cirrostratus. This is the best picture I got.
