March 3, 2018 Auroras
Two Rivers, Alaska
We had an outing to the Two Rivers Community Center to meet and chat with a couple local aurora photographers. While we were there, the auroras made a brief, barely noticeable appearance. It was hard to see them due to the full moon and scattered clouds, but added saturation in post-processing brought them out.
It was another early night, for we had another trip planned. We started in the morning for Talkeetna, where we would spend the following night in order to see the Iditarod sled dog race begin in Willow. It was a snowy drive, and Alaska does not use salt on its roads. I really like that, but it does make for some really slippery, icy roads when the temperature gets closer to freezing.
