February 5, 2016 Auroras
Grand Rapids, MN
Bz dropped south to near -10 nT, and the skies were mostly clear, so I headed out to catch some auroras! Well, as soon as I got to the north end of town, the clouds moved in from the northwest (yes, that seems to be a theme this year). I could see a sliver of clearing on the northern horizon through the black spruce in front of me, so I changed shooting locations to afford a view of the horizon. I moved to Prairie Lake and shot a couple images before heading back home.
