October 3, 2015 Auroras
Itasca County
Even more opportunities to see the auroras this week! A dry weather pattern brought clear skies, and the magnetic field in the solar wind again pointed south. I headed out briefly to lower Prairie Lake to take a few pictures of the emerging auroras, but the east wind was really chilling me a bit, so I decided to head home.
I headed out again to Pokegama Lake south of town. There, I was able to film a strengthening aurora while I napped.
