November 14, 2012 Auroras
Highway 38, Grand Rapids, MN
I seem to recall this was a high speed solar stream coming from a coronal hole. Bz was dropping south into the mid teens, which could place the auroral oval nearly overhead. We had interference from clouds, but there were some clear spots. I met a friend of mine on Highway 38 north of Grand Rapids, and we watched the show for a while until the clouds made it no longer worthwhile.
