Aurora account
Last Chance before my Storm Chase Trip
Conditions were minimal for auroras: 500 km/s solar wind and Bz ranging from +1 to -3 nT. The moon was mostly full but waning, and it didn't rise until well after midnight. The skies were clear. I thought I would go out and see what I could see.
I wanted to go out at least one more time before the big chase trip. Due to some well-timed snow and cold, there was healthy ice on the lakes, and it was easy to walk out, so out to Wabana I went. The auroras were minimal, but it was fun to get out there one last time this season.
