The Night
Maybe there were some residual CME effects going on. Whatever the case, Bz was slightly south again. It maybe hit -5 nT during the day and was near 0 in the evening. I decided to go out and take a look. The shortest trip to nice, dark skies was Prairie Lake, and that's where I went. I did not stay long because the show was not going to come up from the horizon. When I started shooting, there was a little bit of structure, which was nice to see. Knowing that this would likely be the best I would see, I went home pretty quickly after that.
